How Does A Keyless Door Entry System Work?

A Keyless Entry System has a card "reader" which is mounted outside the entrance door. This "reader" is wired to a "controller" unit which can be up to 500 feet away from the door. The "controller" should be mounted in a secure location, like an office.

An access card or secret PIN number is then presented to the "reader" which in turn communicates with the "controller." If the person entered the correct PIN and/or Card, then the "controller" sends a signal to unlatch the door. This system does not need to include the keypad reader for a PIN to be entered. In fact, the system we suggest is a Proximity Card system, in which a Proximity Card is simply passed wihtin 6 inches of the reader in order to send its data (similar to the EZ-Pass on the Thruways).
Our free Presentation explains all of this information in explicit detail.
